WORLD DAY FOR SAFETY AND HEALTH AT WORK (WDSW) 10TH EDITION

Organized by Unicongo and Total E&P Congo on Friday, April 26, 2019World Day for Safety and Health at Work (WDOSH) celebrated this year 10 years of celebration in Congo, in Pointe-Noire.

In Congo and in many parts of the world, national authorities, trade unions and employers' organizations have organized activities to celebrate this day in order to promote the prevention of occupational accidents and diseases.

Inspired by the ILO's centenary and discussions on the future of work, this year's World Day for Safety and Health at Work was intended to take stock of a century of efforts to improve safety and security at work, and to look ahead to the future as major changes, related to technology, demographics, work organization and climate change, are underway.

In Pointe-Noire, nearly 2 600 visitors were present to visit the stands and participate in fun and educational activities on the theme of "Safety, health and future at work".

The dynamism of the present animators and the quality of the proposed animations were underlined during this 10th edition.
