At the heart of Central Africa, the Congo is part of both an economic and monetary area, the CEMAC (Economic and Monetary Community of Central African States), and a legal area, theOHADA (Organization for the Harmonization of Business Law in Africa), of which it is a founding State Party.
It is also a stakeholder in theAfrican Union, an organization in charge of promoting the accelerated socio-economic integration of the continent with a view to strengthening unity and solidarity among African countries and peoples.
