UNICONGO PARTICIPATES IN REF 2021

Unicongo was pleased to participate in the 1st edition of the Meeting of French-speaking Entrepreneursorganized by MEDEF and MEDEF International.

The major event took place in Paris on August 24 and 25, 2021ahead of the annual French Entrepreneurs' Meeting.

Bringing together more than 500 French-speaking business leaders from 31 countriesthe objective of this event was to to impulse a new dynamic to optimize economic exchanges between French-speaking countries and initiate business partnerships between the companies present at the event.

As a privileged partner of the MEDEF, and the most representative employers' union in the country, Unicongo had the mission to to lead a delegation of a dozen business leaders from the Congo to represent to represent the country during the event.

Taking advantage of the presence of some members of the Congolese government in Paris for a bilateral diplomatic bilateral diplomatic missionUnicongo was pleased to welcome, at the invitation of MEDEF, several Ministers in its delegation.

Another mark of attention given to the Congolese delegation by the MEDEF, a preparatory meeting was held at the MEDEF headquarters in Paris prior to the event. This meeting brought together :

  • Mr. Roger Rigobert ANDELY, Minister of Finance, Budget and Public Portfolio and Mr. Antoine Thomas Nicéphore FYLLA SAINT-EUDES, Minister of Industrial Development and Promotion of the Private Sector ;
  • The delegation of Unicongo in fullaccompanied by the Secretary General and led by the President of the Union;
  • Mr. Fabrice LE SACHE, Vice-President and Spokesperson of MEDEFMr. Philippe GAUTIER, Director General of MEDEF International.

This meeting was an opportunity for a direct dialogue which allowed to discuss the the revitalization of bilateral flows between the two countries and many topics of common interest.

Last event of this working week, MEDEF and Unicongo were invited by his Excellency Anatole COLLINET MAKOSSO, Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Congo, to a working dinner with several members of the Government. This was an opportunity to recall the strong economic ties that unite the two countries and the prospects for future collaborations at the dawn of the economic revival impelled by the Congolese Government.
